New Year’s Resolution – does it work at all?

2009-12-23 19:43:43

I have been thinking recently about the subject, looking for the answer amongst friends, family and obviously in Internet.

Majority are pessimists – believing it is not worth to make promises, again, and again not to stick to them – so does it make any sense at all?

The statistic are even more convincing – two third of our New Year’s resolutions is gone by the end of January, the rest is forgotten by the end of February….only few, really few of us will keep the resolutions, they made on New Year’s day.

So the question is – is it worth at all to make them?

In my opinion – every day is good for making decisions about the change. It doesn’t have to be a New Year. From the other side some dates in the calendar make us think about our lives: “The year is finishing… another year…of my life…and the new year is coming.. wondering … what is going to bring for me?...”It is completely natural, that  at the end of the year we are wondering what life is going to bring to us and we make some plans for the future.

So -  would it be worth it to go with the flow?

The moment of thinking over our life is not a wasted time, isn’t it?

We’ll think it over and choose our New Year’s Resolutions…maybe we will even put them on a piece of paper…and then is the easy bit…to make it to the end and stick to it :)
