How can I forget the one I loved, but I can't be with?

During my practice as a hypnotherapist I have had some clients wanting me to help them to resolve the problem "forgetting the one I love, but I can't be with" , hypnosis suppose to help them to forget and be "out of love".
Obviously I can help them to go through this difficult period of time, help to investigate feelings, get hope for better tomorrow, but I have to remind here the old saying:"time heals all wounds"
Firstly you don't forget the one you love, beacuse if you have ever really loved someone you will always care. We also have to distinquish that caring for someone and loving them are two different things. You have to accept that you are not with that person and... move on with your life. Go out. Live. Helpful advice here will be: not to look for someone else to love, somone who we will transfer our feelings to.
Spending your time analyzing "what would happen if",analyzing the past is not the best solution. If you want to do something for yourself you have to let go all these thoughts, all these memories (I am not saying to erase them from your memory).Focusing so much time loving someone that you are not with... creates neglecting yourself. Like I said, go out, occupy your mind and attention with something else.
It should really help.Make this as a habit ,spend time with friendly people, laugh and you... will move on with your life.
